Raising Maine Coons the Way We Believe They Should Be Raised
Cass Coon Cats is Cassie and her family, and our European Maine Coons, at home in Jamul, California.

More Than Fifteen Years of Maine Coons
Cassie and her family have raised Maine Coons at home in Jamul, in the hills east of San Diego, for more than fifteen years. It started the way it does for most of us: with one big, chirping, endlessly curious cat who made the whole family fall for the breed.
Today the cattery is still a family one. Our European Maine Coons live in the house with us, and every litter is born and raised indoors, among the children, the noise of a busy kitchen and our dog. That everyday life is what turns a kitten into a relaxed, people-loving cat.

The Right Kitten for the Right Home
We place our kittens as companions. Every kitten is spayed or neutered before going home, and we would rather wait for the right family than rush a placement.
We get to know what each family is looking for and describe every kitten honestly: personality and energy level matter more than choosing from a photo alone. If a kitten is not the right fit for your home, we will say so.

What Every Kitten Has Before Going Home
Each kitten sees our vet a few days before going home, and leaves us spayed or neutered, microchipped, dewormed and vaccinated for their age, with a health certificate, a vaccination record and a written contract that includes our 1-year genetic health guarantee.
Why Families Choose Us
- Raised in our home, never in cages
- Socialized with children and a dog
- Vet examined before going home
- Spayed or neutered, placed as companions
- A 1-year genetic health guarantee
- Nationwide delivery, never cargo
A Closed Cattery
Young kittens are still building their immune systems, so we keep a closed cattery: we do not open our home to drop-in visits. Once you have chosen and reserved a kitten, we arrange a time for you to meet them, and families nearby are welcome to collect their kitten in person.
Where We Are
We are in Jamul, California, in the hills of East County San Diego, about 25 minutes from downtown San Diego and 2 hours 10 minutes from Los Angeles. Most of our kittens travel farther than that, with a flight nanny or with their new family in the cabin. How kittens get home · Maine Coon kittens in California
Questions About Us
01Are your kittens raised in cages?
No. Our kittens are born and raised inside our home in Jamul, around our children and our dog, and they are handled every day. That is how they learn to be relaxed, sociable cats.
02Do you sell kittens for breeding?
No. We place our kittens as family companions only, which is why every kitten is already spayed or neutered when it leaves us.
03Can I visit your cattery?
We keep a closed cattery to protect young kittens while their immune systems develop, so visits to our home in Jamul are arranged once you have chosen and reserved a kitten. Families who live nearby are welcome to pick their kitten up in person.
