About CASS Coon Cats
We are a small family owned and operated Cattery that is dedicated and committed to ensure the health and well being of our cats and to the Maine Coon Breed. Located in Calgary, Alberta Canada, our cats are of a unique background, as they have all originated from Europe.
Kitten News!
To all of our CASS Coon Cats Family and Friends – and potential family. After siring 9 litters of healthy, happy kittens, we are looking at retiring Loki after the next (Summer 2024) litter and Queen Amora will also retire to live the life of pampered house pets that they so richly deserve and earned. CASS Coon Cats has no plans to continue as a breeding cattery – these past years have been some of the best for us as we were able to experience so much fun and happiness with kittens and bring other families joy with their new fur babies.
As you may know, we were recently (November 9th, 2023) graced with a healthy litter of 6 kittens (5 tabbies & one Black, 3 Male & 3 Female) that will be ready for their fur-ever homes in mid-January 2024. For those of you still on the wait list or looking to adopt, this litter and our final litter in the summer 2024, will be the last for this magnificent Sire & Queen. Amora has been pretty consistent to deliver around 5-6 kittens per litter and it is likely that she will have as many as that in the summer of 2024, but there are no guarantees. We urge those of you still interested in adopting kittens from CASS Coon Cats to contact us on Facebook CASS Coon Cats or go to fill out an online application, if you haven’t already done so.
This has been a labor of love for our family and we have been paid back 10 fold from the love and affection our kittens have received from their new families – we ask that you all continue to send us pictures and post on “CASS Coon Cats Family & Friends” Facebook page for years to come.
Our Queen & Sire

Loki - Sire
Loki is everything you could ever want and hope for in a Maine Coon. He is a beautiful black smoke…

Amora - Queen
Amora has been absolutely amazing. Not only does she have just the best temperament anyone could ask…
What we do
Our Catery

I am a cat breeder
I spend a lifetime learning pedigrees, going over cats, talking and learning from those in my breed and those outside it. I raise each litter as if I gave birth to them and spend an equal amount of time finding them loving forever homes.
I only put kittens on this planet that I think will be the healthiest (mentally and physically) and nicest examples of their breed. I also choose to de-sex every cat and kitten that leaves my home to go and live with a non-registered breeder.
I support each family who chooses one of my cats or kittens and let them know they are now a part of our extended family. I am there if one needs to come back and will aggressively pursue the return of one of my cats if it’s in the wrong place. I support my breed in rescue and education.
I hold them when they arrive and leave this world, not only my own, but my brethren in the fancy. I share my knowledge, show and socialize my cats so that they will be the advertisement for my dedication.
I don’t keep track of the money and time I put into my love of cats, it would not be a true measure of how I feel.
I support my friends in the fancy, because it takes a village sometimes and only WE know how things are for us.
The price I charge for my kittens is never profit, but investment in the next generation.
I will not be ashamed of who I am, I work hard at being a good cat person and encouraging others to be the same.
I am a breeder and I am proud of it.
If we don’t support each other – we are doomed as a fancy.

About the Maine Coon Cat Breed
- Maine Coon cats are referred to as the “gentle giants” of domestic cats and also described as the most “dog-like” of the cat breeds. They usually are incredibly friendly, highly intelligent and trainable.
- Maine Coon cats are definitely one of the largest of the domesticated cat breeds. Females can weigh anywhere from 4 kg to 7.5 kg (9 to 16 lbs), and males weighing anywhere from 5.5 kg to 9.5 kg (13 to 20 lbs).
- The breed is also known to be slow to mature, often not reaching their full size until 3 years of age or later. This is especially true for the males of this breed.
- If you are thinking of adding Maine Coon cats to your household, we highly recommend you do your research on this breed and make yourself aware of the cats needs and lifestyle.
